The Judiciary Investigative Police in Costa Rica (OIJ) requires the help of the public with providing any information they may have on the whereabouts of Italian businessman Stefano Calandrelli.
Calandrelli has lived in Costa Rica for several years, he owned a chain of Italian restaurants and was once married to presenter and sports journalist Adriana Duran.
According to OIJ, the 51-year-old was last seen the evening of May 14 in the Escazu Village shopping center where he also co-owns the L’Incontro restaurant; he met with friends and then requested an Uber service, no one has seen him or heard from him since then.
This makes four cases of foreigners that went missing in Costa Rica. Just yesterday OIJ released the information of Canadian citizen James Hogg, 70 years-of age, who disappeared in Quepos, Puntarenas.
German tourist Gerlinde Hahne, 75 years-old, went missing on May 3rd in the area of Montezuma, Cobano, Puntarenas.
In February, it was a Manuel Alvarez, a native of Spain, aged 74 and who owned property in Costa Rica, who was reported missing by his family.
