A unique experience to interact with Costa Rica’s wild animals and help a worthwhile cause.
The Jaguar Animal Rescue Center in Playa Chiquita is a center to rehabilitate mistreated, injured and/or confiscated animals, which are then reintroduced to their natural habitat in protected areas.
During your visit you will have direct contact with monkeys, wild cats, sloths, racoons, anteaters, marsupials, reptiles, amphibians, etc. You can also observe most of the venomous snakes of Costa Rica which are housed in terrariums imitating their natural habitat.
By visiting the Jaguar Center, your donation will go directly to caring for our rainforest guests.
Guided visits are available from Monday to Saturday at 9.30 am and at 11.30 am.
The center is closed on Sundays.
You can not visit the center openly, so we ask visitors to come to the center at the scheduled time for tours.
The visit takes about 1 1/2 hour of your time. There’s no chance to visit the center on your own, so we ask visitors to come on the scheduled time for the tours. Reservations are only necessary if it’s a big group.
We hope to see you soon!
