Flying through Air France and KLM from San José, Costa Rica has plenty of advantages; the companies offer what is known as “joint rate”, which means travelers can fly out of San José with Air France and fly back with KLM or vice versa without additional charges or fees; in addition, clients will be able to visit up to three destinations for the price of a round trip ticket.
“If for example someone is traveling from San José to Rome with KLM via Amsterdam, he/she can stay in Amsterdam and enjoy a few days and then continue their flight to Rome; the traveler can then choose to return through Air France via Paris and stay a few days in the French capital, three destinations for the price of one, in the same trip”, explained Pia Lackman, general manager of Air France KLM for Panama and Central America.
“We are convinced that travelers will appreciate the benefits of this joint rate between Air France and KLM when they travel, specially the possibility of visiting Paris and Amsterdam. With our two companies flying between Costa Rica and Europe our clients have a great offer in terms of connections and frequency: 328 destinations in 118 countries”, stated Lackman.
Air France announced earlier this year they would be operating three flights for the 2017-2018 season (European winter) between San Jose and Paris; it recently confirmed also that they will operate permanently two weekly flights starting on April 1st. , while KLM operates two weekly flights during the European winter season, for a total of 5 flights a week from October through March .
Air France also offers weekly flights going through Panama, one daily KLM flight and six weekly Air France flights.
