Let’s review last week’s political happenings starting with former Vice President Joe Biden’s speech Friday in Phoenix that was downright scary. His voice echoed with political hate as he spoke before a Latino civil rights group.

Here’s what Biden actually said in reference to the Trump administration’s “zero-tolerance” immigration policies at the Mexico-USA border, “Grotesque lies – lies about immigrants, about crime, about costs to the community. They’re simply lies – factually inaccurate … and look folks, this administration’s policies that literally rip babies from the arms of their mothers and fathers – one of the darkest moments in our history.” Oh really Joe … your words reek of propaganda.

These days Biden is a mouthpiece for the hard-core, far-left Democratic establishment in Washington, DC, right in there with former President Obama. Good old Joe used to speak for the common man, the union blue-collar worker supporting his family, but no more. This former U.S. Senator from Delaware has lost his once strong following because President Donald Trump now speaks for the forgotten men, women and minorities once represented by the Democrats.

It wasn’t until the Trump administration announced its “zero-tolerance” policy toward illegal immigrants crossing the Mexico border entering the USA illegally that all the liberal Democrats started throwing a fit. The same immigration laws were in effect during the entire eight years of the Obama administration and they all said nothing – no hateful street demonstrations blocking highways and no verbal attacking of Obama cabinet members while they had dinner or chasing them out of a movie.

If there is any hope on the horizon it’s with the new president of Mexico – Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador — who won this nation’s presidency in a landslide victory on a platform of anti-corruption, anti-drugs and better trade relations with the USA and Canada. Obrador has invited President Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to his impending inauguration. U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has already met with the new president in Mexico. The outgoing president – Enrique Pena Nieto — has been anti-Trump ever since Trump announced he was running for president and Trump demanded Mexico pay for his border wall plan to better keep illegals from entering the USA along with illegal drugs and stolen guns. Nieto is much responsible for the current blow up at Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) at the southern border because he allowed passage through Mexico of thousands of Central American illegal immigrants. This ill-conceived anti-ICE movement was a staged set up from the beginning designed to cause public relation problems for the Trump administration.

Meanwhile, President Trump’s bimbo parade is again on the move. This time a former Playboy playmate is replacing news about porn star Stormy Daniels. Trump supporters don’t care at all about the past girlfriends however true or untrue these stories are. The playboy model claims to have had a year-long affair with Trump 12-years ago while Daniels said she spent one night with Trump back in 2006. They are both aging gold diggers looking for a bigger payoff. Trump denies the affairs. In short, who cares? We know this president is not Mr. Rodgers from the neighborhood.

Funny how the national mood is no longer interested in taking down long-standing Confederate and Union Civil War Monuments or renaming schools named after Confederate soldiers anymore. What damage has been done to history is indeed regrettable and may be reversed with the changing tides of public sentiment. It would be great to see these historical monuments put back right where they once proudly stood and bring back the original names of elementary, middle and high schools that were changed due to knee-jerk, short-sighted political correctness by local school boards.

It’s a good idea these days not to wear pro-Trump Make America Great Again (MAGA) hats or T-shirts in public. Why invite trouble and confrontation into your life? The haters have short tempers and are becoming violent. Since just about everyone has a smartphone video’s of these hostilities are increasingly making the national TV news and shown on social media.

The USA is undoubtedly politically divided much like back in the 1960s and early 1970s as anti-Vietnam War protests nationwide drew national attention as the raw images of war in a foreign land for questionable reasons gripped the nation as thousands of young American lives were lost.

The time to be pro-Trump, pro-America, pro-military, pro-law enforcement, pro-economy and pro-border security in the voting booth.
