Liberia Guanacaste is Officially the First City in Latin America to have Jet Blue MINT Service Experience

This Saturday, December 16, the first JetBlue Mint flight arrived at the Daniel Oduber Airport in Liberia, Guanacase, from New York; even though this connection already existed, the modality of the new flights (Mint) is one of the novelties in arrivals to Liberia since its one of the most exclusive international services.

Liberia became, the first city in Latin America to offer Mint, JetBlue is the only airline with lie-flat seats to offer flights between Costa Rica and the United States.

These flights will arrive every Saturday from the JFK airport at 2:49 p.m. to Liberia during the high season, with the objective of offering premium service to all tourists vacationing from the Big Apple and its connections all the way to Liberia.

JetBlue Mint flights departing from Liberia will leave at 4:15 p.m. on Satuday to arrive at JFK at 10:14 p.m.

“The new MINT airplane offers more comfort to travelers and with this, new possibilities of attracting tourists to Guanacaste. This is the realization of negotiations carried out in benefit of Costa Rica, a personalized service to cater to the necessities of modern travelers that brings us closer to out main tourism market, a market with a potential of 24 million people”, commented María Amalia Revelo, Minister of Tourism.

JetBlue Mint offers “fully lie-flat seats (16 in business class), artisan dining options, the most free in flight entertainment, revitalizing amenities and more”, in total the A321 has 159 seats.

“We are proud to introduce Mint premium cabin to our route between New York (JFK) and Liberia. This service offers our clients an incomparable flight experience”, share Giselle Cortes, director of international airports for JetBlue.

Features of the A321 core interior include 10-inch television screens offering free entertainment, comfortable seats with the most legroom in coach (a) and power outlets accessible to all customers. JetBlue’s popular marketplace, a self-serve station full of free snacks, sodas and water for customers to enjoy at their convenience, is also available throughout the flight. And all A321 aircraft offer JetBlue’s free Fly-Fi high-speed broadband Internet service (b) and access to JetBlue’s Hub content on personal devices and first-run Hollywood movies.

“While business class passengers can enjoy the “lie-flat seating, a signature cocktail, a tapas-style menu by New York City restaurant Saxon + Parole, fresh espresso from the first purpose-built cappuccino machine for a U.S. airline, amenity kits by Hayward and Hopper, and dessert from local artisanal ice cream makers based in Mint cities”.
