Madrid, Spain, Sept. 22 — The high-profile celebrity divorce between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie that sent shockwaves around the A-list world left Madrid Wax Museum curators with little choice but to re-arrange their displays on Thursday.

Madrid’s symbolic separation of the former Hollywood couple followed similar decisions taken at Madame Tussauds in London and Berlin.

Museum workers pulled the wax models of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie into separate, temporary spots as museum spokesman Gonzalo Presa said “this won’t be the best place to keep them.”

Presa said that the waxwork couple were once one of the most photographed attractions in the museum.

Now it is likely that new spaces will have to be created for the freshly-single stars.

The wax models include details such as the tattoo on the back of Jolie’s neck that declares her love for Pitt, as well as another on her left arm with the geographic coordinates of the birthplaces of their six children.

In real life, Jolie has pursued philanthropic adventures, raising awareness for human rights around the world as a United Nations goodwill ambassador, and was appointed visiting professor at the London School of Economics.

Similarly, Pitt has been known to donate considerably to charities helping with humanitarian disasters around the world, and – alongside Jolie – has donated $1 million to the UN’s refugee cause. EFE
