In a recent interview with news daily of El Salvador EL Economista, Marco Quinteros, general manager of Marriott Fairfield in El Salvador confirmed that the hotel chain plans to continue its expansion in Central America with Costa Rica as one of the main markets.

According to Quinteros Marriott plants to bring the Fairfield Inn brand to Costa Rica’s metropolitan area in the short term, a similar concept to the one that opened doors a year ago in El Salvador which was the first in Central America.

In total Fairfield expects to open ten hotels in Central America, 4 in Panama and 6 in Costa Rica.

Currently, Marriott has presence in Costa Rica with the brands Residence Inn, Courtyard, Aloft, JW, Sheraton, Marriott Hotels & Resorts and more recently AC Hotel by Marriott.

The Fairfield Inn concept bets on simplicity and comfort at a low-cost, perfect for those that require a nice place to sleep with fewer amenities.

The Fairfield in El Salvador opened in 2017 with an investment of $17.2 million and in this first year has exceeded its expectations with an occupation of close to 60%.
