Floyd Mayweather made Conor McGregor play his game,despite McGregor’s superior size and power, Mayweather dragged him to deep waters, to those late rounds that only professional boxers understand how to survive and that’s were McGregor drowned, he was tired, came in too heavy and took on one of the best boxers the sports has seen.

McGregor started out aggressive, scored some good punches and some illegal punches, Mayweather had trouble at times with McGregor’s height and reach but worked well his defense; after the fifth round the Irish’s legs slowed down and Mayweather took over, the fight was stopped in round 10 when McGregor was definitely in trouble.

McGregor deserves credit, he is a great athlete, he plays his part well in building up a fight like this, he is a great MMA fighter and a decent boxer, he stood against the best and did arguably better than many professional pugilists.

Mayweather is the definition of the sweet science, his defense, his ring smarts, his discipline allows him to beat a man 11 years younger after being 2 years away from the ring. He is a great businessman no doubt.

The boxing world stands up and applauds, but this is not about Boxing being better than MMA, but simply two different sports, should it had been the other way around and the fight would have been in the octagon, the result would likely be different.

But don’t be fooled, McGregor didn’t lose, he walked a way a richer man and one that made history, those who didn’t know his name now do.

Mayweather closed his record with 50 wins and no loses.
