Nine Costa Rican hotels among the best in the region

Travel website Conde Nast Traveler included nine hotels in Costa Rica among their listing of “Top Resorts in Central and South America: Readers’ Choice Awards 2016 “, the ranking is done based in reviews by their more than 300 thousand readers, this is the 29th edition of this ranking and below we leave you the information of the Costa Rican resorts considered among the best in the region:

Nayara Springs: This hotel is the first one from Costa Rica to appear in the list holding position number 6. Nayara Springs had also appeared in the 47 position of the listing “The 50 Best Resorts in the World” which came out earlier this year. Located in la Fortuna de San Carlos, this boutique hotel is surrounded by lush nature and according to their site they have “The largest and most luxurious guestrooms in all of Costa Rica”. This is a VIP, adults-only hotel.

Hacienda Alta Gracia: This luxury resort located in Perez Zeledón, sits in the 8th position of the list. Hacienda Alta Gracias was also included among Conde Nast Travelers best new hotels in Central and South America. An Auberge Resort, this estate features a 20,000-square foot spa, equestrian facilities, gourmet dining, and it’s an all-suite resort.

Nayara Hotel, Spa & Gardens: Also part of the Nayara Springs, this is a more family oriented version, perfect for Eco-tourism, it provides top quality service and many activities.

Westin Golf Resort & Spa: Located in one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica, Playa Conchal in Guanacaste, this is Starwood’s first Costa Rica all-inclusive resort. 

Tabacón Grand Spa Thermal Resort: Another hotel in La Fortuna de San Carlos, Tabacón is in position 13 in the ranking, a hotel of great tradition, known for its thermal waters which are surrounded by the native vegetation, this wellness spa and resort has comfortable and exquisite rooms that promise to make you feel like you are spending your days in a true oasis.

El Silencio Lodge & Spa: In the 14th position we find a mountain eco-luxury hotel located in Bajos del Toro. “A Symphony of Natural Wellness” states their webpage. The best alternative for travelers seeking to relax and connect with nature.

Andaz Resort: A Hyatt hotel nested in the Gulf of Papagayo, a remote location that holds some of the most wonderful views and vibrant surroundings. Its design reflects the indigenous nature of Costa Rica and they promote a “barrier-free” environment.

Four Seasons Resort: Also in the Gulf of Papagayo, the Four Seasons is listed as a Forbes 5 star rated resort in Central and South America. Luxury that appeals to all senses, and activities for every member of the family, that is what you’ll find at the Four Seasons Resort.

JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort: Sitting at the bottom of the exclusive list, the Hacienda Pinilla resort and spa is conveniently located in Santa Cruz, Guanacaste, close to Tamarindo Beach and Avellanas Beach which makes it one of the most popular luxury hotels in the Guanacaste area.
