The 32^nd edition of the annual Culture Week event is taking place now in Santa Cruz, province of Guanacaste. The event started on January 4^th at the Carlos Rodriguez amphitheater, located in the Bernabela Ramos Park. This week-long celebration of local culture and tradition is believed to be the oldest continuous cultural event in Costa Rica.

Culture Week in Santa Cruz is made possible by the Cantonal Culture Association. A special exhibit of old photographs showing idyllic life in Guanacaste during the 19^th and 20^th centuries will take center stage at the Bernabela Ramos Park. On January 10^th, farmers and the public are invited to partake in the Seed Sanctuary event where they can learn about the local, non-GMO agricultural products cultivated in Guanacaste.

The following schedule shows the special musical, dance and performance events that will grace Santa Cruz until Saturday, January 11^th. Two days after Culture Week in Santa Cruz wraps up another special celebration will begin: The Traditional and Folkloric Fair, which is considered to be the best celebration of local culture in Guanacaste and Costa Rica.
