Los Angeles, Aug 15 (EFE).- Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira is part of the voice cast for the upcoming 2016 Disney computer-animated comedy “Zootopia,” the studio said at its D23 Expo, an event for fans in Anaheim, California.

Shakira will voice the part of Gazelle, a pop star in the mammal metropolis of Zootopia, where a police lieutenant bunny and a fugitive fox are forced to team up when they become targets of a conspiracy.

Shakira’s voice will be heard in the film’s original English-language version, and her character also will sing her original song, “Try Everything.”

“Zootopia” is directed by Byron Howard and Rich Moore and produced by Clark Spencer. Walt Disney Animation Studios is the production company.

Other members of the voice cast include Jason Bateman, Ginnifer Goodwin and Alan Tudyk. EFE
