C21 Media Press Release — Saban Brands’ TV series such as “Power Rangers”, “VR TRoopers” and “Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation” is heading to subscription video on demand (SVOD) service in Middle East, South East Europe, Africa and Latin America through Vubiquity. Saban Brands struck a deal with the content service to make subscription box-sets available for:

Qatar, UAE, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Uruguay, Panama, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and Colombia.

The SVOD service is set for immediate distribution for the countries listed above with more countries joining in the next few months.

The Power Rangers are costumed superheroes who have special powers and access to attack vehicles and weapons that they use to combat their foes, who are usually supernatural, extraterrestrial or cybernetic. The series focuses on action and stunts; backstories tend to be cryptic, but it is known that a wizard assembled the first team of teenage Power Rangers based on their inclination and ability to overcome evil in a modern world.

The VR Troopers are young superheroes who are interested in martial arts, computer science and journalism. They fight a race of mutants who live in another dimension, which they can access through virtual reality applications and programming. Their goal is to keep the evil mutants from crossing over to our dimension.

Young viewers in Costa Rica will be able to access the Power Rangers and VR Troopers content through SVOD, which is mostly available from cable companies that deliver broadband Internet and video entertainment by means of IPTV, which requires a smart digital set-top box.
