Even though part of the agreement between the Costa Rican Government and the labor union leaders included to keep the details of the negotiation confidential until this Sunday at 3 p.m. when an official announcement was made on whether the labor unions accepted the agreement or not, the document was filtered on Saturday evening.

According to this document, if the labor unions agree, which apparently, they will, with the dispositions of the same, the strike will come to an end on Monday.

The fiscal plan will not be retired from the Legislative Assembly, but a dialogue will begin between the parties to come to a consensus on changes to the plan.

The Government is also guaranteeing that there will be “no reprisals or discrimination” of any time against those employees that participated of the strike in a peaceful way.

The institutions or Ministries must establish the procedures to make up for the days lost and comply with contingency actions according to each case.

The preliminary agreement is scheduled to be signed this Sunday, September 29 at 3 p.m.
