Life is good for tennis star Rafael Nadal from Spain. As previously reported by The Costa Rica Star through an EFE wire, Mr. Nadal was in top form at the Argentina Open, where he clinched his 65^th career title against local favorite Juan Monaco.

 

As reported by national newspaper La Nacion, Mr. Nadal arrived in Costa Rica just hours after proving to the professional tennis world that his comeback efforts are certainly working in his favor. The charismatic tennis star was welcomed in Argentina, where he enjoyed interacting and playing a few sets with young Argentines from low-income neighborhoods.

 

After speaking to the press and thanking the people of Argentina for their warm hospitality, Mr. Nadal was happy to learn that he is now ranked at number three in the world. Hours later, he landed at the Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport in Guanacaste.

 

According to data compiled by Spanish news agency EFE:

 

• The 28-year-old Mr. Nadal is on the comeback trail once again this season.
• Mr. Nadal, who struggled with a wrist injury and also suffered from a bout of appendicitis in the latter half of the 2014 season, lost in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open to Czech Tomas Berdych.
• The Spaniard played a clay-court event last month in Rio de Janeiro but was upset in the semifinals by Italy’s Fabio Fognini.
• Mr. Nadal is now tied with Argentine great Guillermo Vilas’s Open Era record of 46 career ATP clay-court singles titles.
