Washington, Oct 28 (EFE).– A pair of media outlets say American tennis great Serena Williams is pregnant with Canadian rapper Drake’s baby, although other sites indicate the report is false.

The urban music Web site Mediatakeout.com, citing an unidentified source, said the 34-year-old Williams was already pregnant during her shocking loss last month in the U.S. Open semifinals to Italy’s Roberta Vinci, who thwarted the American’s bid to complete a rare calendar-year Grand Slam.

“Serena and Drake have a lot of love for each other. They’re great friends. And they’re going to be great parents,” the media outlet said, adding that the couple is no longer together.

For its part, The Tennis Times, citing a “very close friend of Serena Williams,” said the athlete was 12 weeks pregnant and that the 29-year-old Drake was the father.

But the celebrity gossip Web site Hollywoodlife.com, citing an unidentified source, reported that Williams was not pregnant and “is not ready to have a child with anyone.”

Another outlet specializing in celebrity news, Gossipcop.com, also said it had confirmed with a person close to the tennis star that the reports were false.

Williams, the world’s top-ranked player, has won 21 Grand Slam singles titles, three shy of the all-time record held by Australian former star Margaret Court. EFE
