SailCargo Inc. is an emerging freight company looking to make a name in the sustainable transportation market.

SailCargo is currently located in Punta Morales, Puntarenas, Costa Rica, where they are currently working on building transportation freight with a carbon-neutral system.

The ship’s name is Ceiba, a three masts, 150 feet long and 120 feet tall ship which will be the first of an emission free sailing cargo line. Ceiba will be designed to transport between 250 and 300 tons of cargo and a power speed of up to 14 knots, which will make it competitive with the shipping industry.

Ceiba will have a 100% electric engine; a variable pitch propeller will convert kinetic energy into electrical energy to power the ship’s functions from a large house battery bank.

SailCargo is seeking interested parties to invest in the company by purchasing shares.
