Samsung launched a virtual store for its clients in Central America, and the same is now available for Costa Rica, Panama and the Dominican Republic.
According to Adolfo Fermo, online business manager for Samsung Electronics, many consumers in Central America were forced to purchase their Samsung devices through a foreign platform which meant additional charges, long waiting times and issues to claim the product warranty. The new platform offers a complete client experience that allows customers to receive their electronic devices directly at their door without additional charges and with local warranty.
Tablets like the TabS3 and Galaxy Book, smartphones such as the Galaxy S8 and S8+, accessories, and wearables are just part of the products available in the online store.
Samsung will deliver the purchased goods directly to the registered address without additional charges and users have the possibility of tracking the package through the website.
The platform is currently available only for Costa Rica, Panama, and the Dominican Republic but will eventually include the rest of the Central American and Caribbean countries, the company is currently working on the logistics of distribution in each country in the region.
