This morning Southwest Airlines announced a sale for select flights to the Caribbean and Central American region.

The sale is for tickets purchased from Tuesday, October 4 to Thursday, October, 6 (11:59 p.m.).

Rates apply for international non-stop travel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from November 30 through December 13, 2016, and January 10 through March 2, 2017.

Some flights included in the promotion are $149 one-way tickets from Baltimore/Washington to San José, Costa Rica; and $124 one-way tickets from Houston to San José, Costa Rica for select schedules.

Also available are $149 one-way rates from Los Angeles, CA to Liberia, Costa Rica.

Rates posted on the Southwest site as part of the sale also include one-way fares of $154 from San José, Costa Rica to Houston, TX and $180 one-way rates from San José, Costa Rica to Baltimore/Washington.

According to the Southwest website, “displayed prices include all U.S. and international government taxes and fees. Seats and days are limited. Fares may vary by destination, flight, and day of week and won’t be available on some flights that operate during very busy travel times and holiday periods.”

Sale fares may be available on other days of week, but this is not guaranteed.

“Fares are nonrefundable but may be applied toward future travel on Southwest; so long as you cancel your reservations at least ten minutes prior to the scheduled departure of your flight. Failure to cancel prior to departure will result in forfeiture of remaining funds on the reservation,” states Southwest on their site.

Other destinations include Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Belize, southern Mexico, Jamaica, and the Bahamas.
