TGI Fridays changed owners and has relaunched its brand in Costa Rica; the franchise in the country now belongs to Costa Rican corporation La 305 S.A. .
Everything from the menu, to the image and the infrastructure was renovated; 20 new high definition screens to enjoy sports events, modern and more efficient kitchen equipment and new personnel, hope to attract more clients.
“Fridays is one of the most successful franchises around the world thanks to its concept of “casual dining”, which offers combinations of flavors and a nice environment where the client should feel like every day is Friday”, explained Roberto Rojas, president of La 305 S.A.
“ We understand the importance the restaurant ambiance has for our clients so we wanted to create a comfortable space where people can enjoy with family and friends any day of the week, where they will receive great, friendly service and where they can find the classic Friday’s dishes as well as our innovative proposals”, said Rojas.
Associate Juan Carlos Rojas (current President of Costa Rican soccer team Saprissa), commented that they acquired the franchise from its previous owner, Grupo Inmobiliaria Génesis.
The menu offers more than 50 dishes, from the classic Loaded Potato Skins and Friday’s Burgers, to new creations like the Hangover Burger. New cocktails are also part of the offer.
Roberto Rojas also mentioned they are hoping to consolidate the brand in the country as an attractive and quality option for clients and although there are no current dates for expansion they have visualized opening new locations in a three to five year period.
