Mexico City, Jan 7 (EFE).– Three fugtives wanted on criminal conspiracy, drug, sexual abuse and homicide charges by U.S. federal courts were extradited to the United States, the Mexican Attorney General’s Office said.

“The Foreign Relations Secretariat cited the corresponding agreements under which the government of our country granted the extradition requested by U.S. authorities,” the AG’s office said in a statement.

“The extradition agreements are firm and executable when all the legal options to which the subjects were entitled are exhausted,” the AG’s office said.

The fugitives handed over by federal law enforcement agents to the U.S. Marshals Service at the Mexico City International Airport.

A total of 207 people have been extradited to the United States since the current administration took office in Mexico City in December 2012. EFE
