At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24th a tragic accident occurred on Route 27 (San Jose-Santa Ana) in Alto de las Palomas close to the Villareal residential community.

Preliminary reports indicate that two people lost their lives and two others were transferred to the hospital in critical condition. Three cars were apparently involved in the accident, one of which overturned, additional information has not yet been received.

Red Cross and firefighters are still attending the emergency and the road from San Jose to Santa Ana is currently closed.
