The details on the BMW 2018 Triathlon Series where disclosed today at the BMW agency; considered the most important and prestigious triathlon series in the country the event will have five dates in beautiful locations of the Costa Rican Pacific Coast.

With two distances, sprint and standard, the triathlon series will kick off May 13 in Paseo de los Turistas in Puntarenas.

“For us it is a great pleasure to launch this series of 5 dates in different distances, the practice of this sport has left us a lot of lessons and we want this year to be much better than the previous”, commented Sergio Sanchez, Director of UP, organizer of the event.

This year, the organization expects the participation of close to 600 athletes in the five dates.

Triathlete Diana Fernandez shared her opinion “For us as triathletes these are the most important dates, the most organized and the ones we enjoy the most, this first date in May, helps us gain rhythm and get ready for the rest of the events throughout the year”.

The other four dates all include three distances: Sprint, Standard and Long Distance

August 5: Condovac
September 2: Playas del Coco Classic
October 28: Papagayo Gulf
December 2: Quepos, Marina Pez Vela
