Cameras located at the Turrialba Volcano National Park caught the moment it registered an important eruption this past October 5th. During the eruption, incandescent material was expelled.

The National Seismology Network reminds the public of the dangers they expose themselves to if they venture to climb the restricted area near the crater of the volcano.

The Turrialba Volcano is an active volcano that goes through periods of relative calm and which has important eruptions when its least expected. Those that insist on climbing to the crater risk their lives and the lives of others that are forced to rescue to their family member.

Just a few days ago this volcano also registered a mild eruption with a column of ash that reached close to 500 meters above the crater.
