The Judiciary Investigative Police (OIJ) confirmed the arrest of two women suspected of stealing $4,000.00 (USD)  between cash and the use of his credit card.

Apparently the tourist of last name Atwood and a native of the United States met the two women in a bar in downtown San Jose and invited them to his hotel room. At some point during the night the women gave the man a sleeping pill without him knowing; when Atwood fell asleep the two women took his money and his credit card and left the hotel. The events took place back in June 29, 2019

Security cameras in the hotel caught a glimpse of the two women as they left the facilities, one of them is 20 years-old while the other one is 40.

OIJ identified the women and managed to locate them, proceeding with their arrest.
