US Tourist Aided by Costa Rican Coast Guard Service

A U.S. tourist who was aboard the sailboat Panache in front of Danta beach in Flamingo, Santa Cruz, Guanacaste, received assistance from the Costa Rican National Coast Guard Service which answered an emergency call from the captain of the boat indicating that the tourist was suffering from a strong chest ache.

The man, identified as Chandu Chandhari, 77 years old, was transferred to the Coast Guard Station in Flamingo where a private ambulance service was waiting for him to take him to a private clinic in Huacas, Santa Cruz.
