If you are a fan of labyrinths Costa Rica offers several options for you, one of them is the Katira Labyrinth in Guatuso, Alajuela, the country’s biggest circular maze.

The Katira labyrinth or Rafa’s Maze, covers 3,000 square meters, and it’s a fun stop if you are in the area of Rio Celeste since is just 1 kilometer away. Traveling from San Jose, it’s about a 4-hour drive.

The record in finding the way out of the maze is of 15 minutes.

Within the property, as part of the attractions, there is a beautiful topiary garden which features creative sculptures of different animals such as spiders, dinosaurs, roadrunners, they are all created by Jose Rafael Arguedas, who has accumulated over 100 shrug figures.

The cost is of only 2000 colones for adults and 1000 colones for children under 5 years of age.
