The low-cost airline, Volaris Costa Rica, announced this week the launch of a new route connecting San José, Costa Rica (SJO) with Mexico City (MEX).
“In addition to strengthening its connectivity in the region, the service will encourage social, cultural and economic exchange between both nations,” the company said in a statement.
Starting September 14, the service will operate three days per week, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with rates starting at US$99 each way, taxes included.
“For Volaris Costa Rica it is a great pleasure to announce this new route, as it contributes to expanding the horizons of travelers in the region, whether for business, pleasure or personal reasons. The opportunity to have a direct flight to the Mexican capital opens the doors so that people of both countries can experience the attractions that each destination offers, and what better way than through Volaris and its lowest rates in the market,” said Fernando Naranjo, CEO of Volaris Costa Rica.
