Playa Junquillal is part of the charming communities that make up the Gold Coast of Costa Rica. This quiet beach town is located about 30 kilometers west of Santa Cruz and 20 kilometers south of the major expat enclave of Tamarindo Beach. Playa Junquillal is about as quiet, serene, relaxed, and authentic as you can get in Costa Rica. Here you can find an estuary, choice breaks, a savannah, a handful of small hotels, a few restaurants, and tons of pura vida.
