Remember all those Democrats running for the U.S. Congress during the recent midterm election that promised again and again they would not support Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to once again serve as Speaker of the House? Now that a sudden dose of reality has set in most of them have turned tail and now say they will support the 78-year-old Pelosi who has been a liberal California Democrat for decades.

This reversal is a classic example of politicians saying one thing to get elected and then cave in to the powers that be. These voters — that elected anti-Pelosi Democrats saw the need to pass the torch to a younger generation and change the face of Democratic leadership — were deceived again. The new boss will apparently be the same old boss on Nov. 28 when the House Democrats take a roll-call vote to elect the Speaker of the House and the Majority Whip that will take the oath of office in early January.

The Democratic Party as a whole is in complete disarray. They don’t think so. They don’t see it. Conservative political observers see the Democrats still have no cohesive message to rally voters to the polls in 2020 to retake the U.S. Senate and the White House from President Donald Trump.

In recent statements and Tweets, President Trump came out in support of Pelosi to be the next Speaker. He knows full well that under Pelosi’s leadership the Democrats will not have a message that voters will buy in two years. Trump’s support of Pelosi is perfect for Trump. He knows Pelosi will not be able to pull together the Democrats in 2020.

Pelosi’s main theme will be universal single-payer health care for all Americans including illegals which is possible, but the federal budget would need to be cut accordingly of all non-essential services and then some — something the Democrats will not do. Their answer to providing universal health care is to seriously raise taxes across the board for regular everyday working people, small businesses and corporations that would stall the economy and reverse the economic gains made by President Trump’s personal and business tax cuts passed last year. Another Trump-Republican supported tax cut may be voted upon during the lame-duck congressional session before the end of the year which would put more money in the hands of everyday hard working American voters.

In the court of public opinion, Pelosi has a favorability rating of only 28.5-percent, according to Real Clear Politics. Nobody wins an election with such dismal ratings, but Pelosi will because she has accumulated incredible political power. But still the new boss will be the same as the old boss meaning the Democrats have made no real progress with few if any new ideas for governing the nation.

Contrast Pelosi’s lack of favorability with President Trump’s job approval rating of 51-percent, according to Rasmussen Reports. That is quite a difference. Something the Democrats fail to see.

Another reason Pelosi will again be Speaker is they have no one else to fills these shoes, which is quite sad for the Democratic Party in general. They also have no viable candidate to take on President Trump in 2020. There is no new blood in the Democratic Party that can rally the voters to success in 2020.

The Democrats have evolved into an aging bunch of wheelchair politicians that will not pass the torch to a new generation.
