The National Roads Authority (CONAVI) resumed since the early hours of Sunday the cleaning work o the national routes that were affected by the strong rains of Friday and Saturday.
The works done in Route 32 which connects Limon to San Jose, allowed the mobility of vehicles and trucks in the area of Zurqui which remained trapped. Many drivers that were rescued yesterday had to return for their cars today. The transit through this road remains closed, while the works continue to remove the material that fell in the kilometers 18, 21, 29, 35 and 39.

In order to come in an out of the Caribbean zone the access is available through Turrialba (Route 10), Route 10), through Vara Blanca, or through Vuelta Kopper (Route 4).

As a result of the landslides a man died when the truck he was driving was buried by the mud.

Other routes in Limon remain closed because of the floods and until an inspection is done to confirm if it is possible and safe for traffic.

Route 507 (Barrio Naranjal)
Route 415 (Las Brisas)
Route 230 (Capellades)
Route 250 (Pital-Boca Tapada)
Route 232 (Roadcross Angostura-Las Suizas)
Route 801 (Bribri-Suretka)
Route 805 (Matina)
Route 230 (Pacayas-Turrialba)
Route 505 (Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui- Quebrada Grande)
Route 810 (Route 32- Santa Clara)

Other roads remain with regulated transit.

The Ministry of Public Education informed that classes will be suspended in the areas affected
