Great Place to Work© Institute Central America & Caribbean recognizes the efforts of companies that work under a model of high-trust culture in the region, the 2017 edition includes several companies in Costa Rica.
“Decades of research show workplaces with high-trust cultures see higher levels of innovation, customer and patient satisfaction, employee engagement, organizational agility and more”, explains the Great Place to Work Institute’s webpage.
Over 128,000 collaborators were surveyed with the Great Place to Work® Institute methodology to come up with this year’s winners. The parameters are obtained through the use of two tools: Trust Index© and Culture Audit©.
Trust Index© evaluates five universal values: credibility, respect, impartiality, pride and fellowship while Culture Audit© tool is a series of 15 open-ended essay questions designed to understand what is distinctive about an organization’s workplace culture. It helps assess an organization’s practices and programs, and how they affect the lives of employees.
In the category, The best places to work with more than 1,000 collaborators Florida Ice & Farm Co. is listed in sixth place; Cargill Costa Rica takes position 12, and Boston Scientific is the last company in the country to appear in this ranking in position 16.
Best places to work with 100-1,000 collaborators includes four companies in Costa Rica: In the 10th place Roche Servicios S.A., Reserva Conchal (15), Bridgestone (19) and National Instruments (20)
The third category of Best places to work with 20-100 collaborators lists: Edify Software Consulting, Holiday Inn Escazú, BDS Asesores, Belcorp, Monsalto and Financiera G&T Continental Costa Rica.
Multinationals were also recognized: Belcorp (Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica); Cargill (Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica); Monsanto (Guatemala, Costa Rica); Tigo (Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica); G&T Continental Financial Group (Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica); DHL Express (Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Dominican Republic); Grupo Agrisal (Honduras,Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama); Scotiabank (Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Panama, Costa Rica); LAFISE Group (Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica); and finally Autofacil (Honduras, Panama,Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica).
