Don’t underestimate the one main road going through downtown Coco, there are actually plenty of spots around Coco where you can have a night full of laughing, dancing, cold drinks, and celebrations with friends and family. You may even want to consider renting a golf cart to get around!

La Vida Loca Bar is in a prime location for those who want to enjoy their nightlife on El Coco beach and is one of the top places for Coco nightlife. Recently taken over by a new owner, fully renovated and updated. You have to cross a small bridge by the park to get there or drive around through the roads leading to Ocotal. Ask anyone on the street how to find it. It’s a spacious open bar so you can watch the ocean or the sunset while having a drink with friends. If you want to pull out your dancing shoes or just get mellow, they have Sunday Reggae nights, not to mention the rocking Fridays and Saturdays where the locals enjoy Chili Guaro! You’ll find all sorts of people at La Vida Loca from all around the world, all having a great time playing darts, listening to music or just chatting with an ice cold beer. With a newly updated menu, tasty food, awesome music and a fun and inviting atmosphere, you’ll definitely have a memorable night at Bar La Vida Loca.

Head to Coconutz, the sports bar in Coco where they have a big projector screen so you can cheer for your favorite team with other fans while chomping down on some delicious pizza. The bar is located right on main street so you’ll be in the heart of downtown Coco nightlife. The staff and owner are very friendly and you’ll probably find yourself staying there longer than you planned, meeting new people from all walks of life and making long lasting memories. As everyone knows, Ticos love to talk to everyone so you’ll have no problem connecting with locals and blending in. For a more low key night in the quieter hills surrounding Coco, Aqua Sport in Playa Hermosa is one of the best spots to watch the sunset on the beach and spend a tranquil evening. Playa Hermosa is a mere ten minute drive from Coco and has one of the most spectacular views of the green hillsides and the ocean. You can enjoy an excellent dinner and drinks with a great atmosphere, rustic décor and on some nights they have live music. There are lounge chairs on the beach to retire to after dinner to soak in the evening and relax with family and friends and they also have a tree swing that you can sit and enjoy a cocktail while watching a beautiful sunset. Aqua Sport isn’t the loudest or a huge party spot but is the perfect place for those who want a more leisurely nightlife or take a break from the hustle and bustle of noisy Coco.

They are definitely the loudest on the main street of Playas del Coco, blasting their music on weekends with colored lights flashing for a very lively party scene. If you hear a deep drum with people shouting, that is probably Lizard Lounge. The atmosphere can get a little wild so if you’re looking for a party scene to drink, dance and mingle all night, Lizard Lounge is the place for you.
