UNESCO Event Announcement — Remarking that “only a third part of the countries of the world reached the overall objectives of Education for All (EFA)” and with the coordinated effort with the Ministries of Education of Central America, the Education Sector of the Office of UNESCO for Central America and Mexico will publish the results of 15 years of investment of the Central American countries to promote EFA.

The launch will take place in July and August: Honduras on July 28; Costa Rica on July 31; Panama in August. Events will include among their guests members of the United Nations, representatives of governments and civil society.

Since its creation in 1945, UNESCO’s mission has been to contribute to the building of peace, poverty eradication, lasting development and intercultural dialogue, with education as one of its principal activities to achieve this aim.
