Frenchman Tom Pages was crowned king of the twelfth edition of the X-Knights 2018 in Costa Rica.

The X-Knights is the most important freestyle motocross event in the region, it took place this Saturday, March 17 at the National Stadium in La Sabana, San Jose.

Pages is one of the most popular riders, famous for his unique tricks and style; Pages had been absent of the last two editions of this event due to injuries, but came back to demonstrate his level and ability with tricks such as the double front flip never before seen in the country.  Pages was consistent in all his demonstrations and won the event with 100 points  wining the X-Knights for a third time (he won in 2011 and 2015), just one win behind Spanish Danny Torres.

Australian Johs Sheehan took the second position with 98 points, and gave Pages a great deal of competition with an incredible double back flip.

The third place went to Maikel Melero, a native of Spain, who battled since the beginning of the competition and executed a great front flip and a volt.

Defending champion Australian Clinton Moore didn’t have a good night after he had trouble with one of his tricks and fell.

In the BMX freestyle competition, Costa Rican Kenneth Tencio took the first place for fourth year in a row, beating U.S. Kevin Peraza and Australian Vince Byron.
