Foodie alert! If you though ceviche was all about seafood, you’ll be surprised at this festival in Jacó which will offer a wide range of dishes and flavors to suit all tastes and preferences.

Fifteen of the hottest restaurants in the Jacó area are readying their best ceviche receives for this Friday, October 27 when the Central Pacific Ceviche Festival takes place at the Océano Boutique Hotel & Gallery at Playa Jacó.

Festival-goers can vote for their favorite dish at the afternoon activity which runs from 4 – 10 p.m, as restaurants compete for first prize in the event’s contest. Dishes will range from a variety of seafood ceviches to vegan and vegetarian options.

This family event promises live music and a fun atmosphere, and also a raffle entry to win a hotel stay at the Ocean Boutique Hotel for all participants who submit a vote for their favorite dish.

Admission to the activity is free of charge, and tickets are available for food and drinks.

If you want to sample some unique ceviche dishes from the region, you can buy a C10,000 ticket valid for 10 ceviches and a C6,000 to try 5 dishes. Coupons for wine and craft beer will also be available.

Jacó region’s top restaurants who will showcase their talent at the event include Ostra Restaurant, Restaurant Los Chanchitos, Los Amigos Restaurant & Sports Bar, Patacón Cevichero, Restaurante Vista Hermosa, Restaurante Vista Mar, Juanita’s Fusión Latina and Green Room Café, Tacobar Jaco, Moobi Bistro; and Grupo Sin Zapatos with three restaurants: Graffiti Restro Cafe + Wine Bar, Side Street Bistro, and PuddleFish Brewery.
