Many tourists prefer to stay at an all-inclusive hotel when they are vacationing, specially of they are traveling as a family since this just makes things easier, there’s no worrying about where you are going to eat, or if kids get thirsty every hour, also, there are no surprises with expenses. There are many all-inclusive resorts in Costa Rica, here we list just a few:

DoubleTree Resort by Hilton: Located just an hour away from San José, in el Roble, Puntarenas, this hotel is ideal for a weekend at the beach. Unlimited food and beverages, live entertainment, kids activities, teens club, tennis courts, gym and non-motorized water sports are all part of the rate.

Barceló Tambor Beach Resort: Beachfront to beautiful beach of Tambor in Puntarenas, if traveling by road you’ll need to take the ferry or you can also get there by taking a national flight in a small plane. The all-inclusive system includes all your meals in the different restaurants they offer, from snacks to fine dining; drinks, nightly entertainment, water sports, bungee jumping and indoor climbing. There are also many activities for children, including a wave-pool and adventure playground.

Riu Hotel Guanacaste: This hotel is fairly new, situated in Matapalo Beach in Guanacaste, you can drive here from San José (about 5 hours) or fly directly to Liberia and drive for about 30 minutes, Riu hotel strives to offer everything guests could need with great service. The hotel features, gym, table tennis, tennis courts, volleyball courts, windsurfing, sailing, snorkeling, kayaking and other water activities. Daily entertainment for kids and adults.

Occidental Papagayo (adults only): Most all-inclusive hotels are thought out for the enjoyment of families, but at Occidental Papagayo this is not the case, you can enjoy different activities in an all-adult environment. Diving, cycling, kayaking, are among the offered activities. Four restaurants and four bars, pool, gym, tennis courts, archery, volleyball are part of what guests can take advantage off while also relaxing with the beautiful views of the Papagayo Gulf in Guanacaste.

Occidental Tamarindo: (Formerly Barceló Langosta) this hotel is located in front of Langosta Beach, a nice and safe white-sand beach, the hotel offers three different kinds of rooms, all of them comfortable and tastefully decorated. Unlimited access to the main La Langosta restaurant, live music, day activities, tennis courts, darts and archery.

Westin Resort & Spa Conchal Beach: Conchal beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica, and the Westin Resort & Spa is known for its superior service and first class facilities. Rates include all meals, drinks, entertainment options including non-motorized water sports, night shows and kids club. The use of the golf course is not included in the price. The hotel features a lagoon-style swimming pool and whirlpool, kayaking, snorkeling, bicycles, volleyball and tennis courts.

Most all-inclusive hotels in Costa Rica are four to five star resorts, and offer a great client service, make sure you inquire what the “all-inclusive” really includes to avoid any additional or unexpected charges.
