El Cafetal Corporate Center located in Belén, Heredia, next to the Marriot Hotel, has announced the start of the construction of its second stage, which involves three new buildings.
The first stage of El Cafetal has four buildings where companies such as Citi Costa Rica, Cargill Business Services, Deloitte Costa Rica and 3M have established their offices; there is also the commercial area where 17 commercial spots, among them, several restaurants, a bank, a pharmacy and a convenience store are located; these companies are currently employing close to 3,500 people.
Garnier & Garnier Desarrollos Inmobiliarios, confirmed that the new stage will add a total of 35,812 square meters of land; 80,174 square meters of construction and 11,278 square meters of green areas.
The first building (Building E) which will have three floors, will be finished by April 2018; the other two buildings, with four floors each, should be concluded in the first semester of 2020.
The company is following all necessary requirements to obtain the LEED® certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), just as with the first stage, as part of the company’s commitment to reduce the environmental impact during the construction and operation process, which at the end translates into efficiency in the operational costs for its clients.
“The growing demand of Shared Service spaces in Costa Rica and the great response to the first stage of El Cafetal which is currently operating to 100% capacity, gave us the motivation to continue with the development of this important project”, explained Karla Quevedo, Commercial Manager for Garnier & Garnier Desarrollos Inmobiliarios.
The location of the corporate center, which is close to the airport, commercial areas, hotels and the city, its modern and sustainable design, and state-of-the-art technology the buildings offer have made it a very attractive option for its clients.
