The Costa Rica Philharmonic Orchestra announces its first concert of 2017: British Invasion

March 4 and 5 Costa Rica will experience a British Invasion from the talented hands and voices of the Philharmonic Orchestra.

This will be the first concert of the 2017 season, and it will include music by: Queen, Yes, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Elton John, The Beatles, Peter Gabriel, The Police and many more.
The tickets will be available for purchase starting this weekend through SpecialTicket.net; keep in mind they sell out in a matter of hours. The event will take place at the Melico Salazar Theater.

Information on participating vocalists and ticket prices has not yet been released but the names of national artists Andrés Bustamante, Gustavo Salazar and Kurt Dyer have been mentioned.

The Orchestra has created a playlist in Spotify with the hit songs that will be interpreted those dates: Paint it Black (Rolling Stones), Who Are You (The Who), Another Brick in the Wall (Pink Floyd), Stairway to Heaven (Led Zepellin), Lovesong (The Cure), Iron Man (Black Sabbath), are just some of them. The playlist can be found in the Spotify app under the Spanish name: Invasión Británica by FilarmonicaCR.

The next dates when the Orchestra will be giving concerts in English are:

Back to the 70’s – May 27 and 28
Tribute to Tool and A Perfect Circle – July 15
Elvis and Rock & Roll – November 18 and 19
