Las Vegas, Jan 25 (EFE; additional context by The Costa Rica Star).– The Carolina Panthers will take on the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, California, on Feb. 7.

The Broncos won the American Football Conference championship by edging the New England Patriots 20-18 on Sunday, while the Panthers crushed the Arizona Cardinals 49-15 to claim the National Football Conference crown.

Oddsmakers in Las Vegas are picking the Panthers (17-1), led by 26-year-old quarterback Cam Newton, to beat the Broncos (14-4), who will have veteran QB Peyton Manning calling the signals.

The 39-year-old Manning, a five-time NFL Most Valuable Player, will be playing in his fourth Super Bowl when he takes the field at Levi’s Stadium.

The veteran quarterback won Super Bowl XLI with the Indianapolis Colts, who defeated the Chicago Bears for the title 29-17 on Feb. 4, 2007, at Dolphin Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
