Costa Rican boxer Bryan “Tiquito” Vasquez returned to the ring on Saturday, February 24 and added another win to his record by defeating Mexican Miguel “La Ranita” Gonzalez, with this win Vasquez earned the Fedelatin Belt of the World Boxing Association (WBA) in the 130 pound category and the Fecarbox of the World Boxing Council (CMB).

Vasquez needed a win in his career after losing a majority decision back in August 2017 against Mexican Raymundo Beltran in Los Angeles, a fight for which the Costa Rican didn’t make weight.

The fight between Vasquez and Gonzalez took place in Perez Zeledon, Costa Rica.

Tiquito, who came into the fight with a record of 35 wins (19 KO’s) and 3 losses had no problems dominating Gonzalez who entered the ring with 21 wins (18 KO’s) and 3 losses. The fight finished 37 seconds into the last round (12th) with a strong left by Vasquez.

With this victory, the former Interim Super Featherweight Champion, gets his career back on the right track and new possibilities open for him.
