After four seasons of not being able to win La Liga championship, Real Madrid took the title this Sunday, with a flawless performance of goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid defeated home team Malaga in La Rosaleda stadium 0-2.

Malaga was a worthy opponent who played a good game, but their efforts were simply not enough against a superior Real Madrid.

The score opened in the first minute of the game with a goal by none other than Cristiano Ronaldo.

Malaga made several attempts to score but Keylor Navas stopped the ball every time.

Kameni, Malaga’s goalkeeper also had to intervene in several occasions, stopping a play by Cristiano in minute 33’ and several more that came later in the game.

The second goal for Malaga came at minute 55’, this time it was Karim Benzema who took advantage of the ball he gained after it bounced off Varane.

Runner up team, Barcelona, defeated Eibar 4-2, but their only chance to win the title was if Madrid lost its game.

With this important win for Real Madrid, Keylor Navas becomes the first Costa Rican to ever win Spain’s championship La Liga. Navas already won the Champions League once, the Europe Super Cup twice and the Club World Cup.

“We have done our best effort to achieve this. We are very happy, hopefully many more will come”, commented Navas.
