The Organism of Judicial Investigation (OIJ) released the information and photo of a man that according to their investigation is the leader of a drug trafficking gang related to the two dead bodies found this Wednesday in a van in La Sabana, among other crimes.

The man (Photo included) is 32 years-old of Nicaraguan origin identified as Irving Alejandro Guido Toruño; according to the OIJ the subject is related with at least 10 homicides. Toruño nicknamed “El Gringo” also goes by the names Erwing Guido Toruño, José Andrés Guido o Alejandro Talavera Traña. The OIJ and the police request the help of the population in Costa Rica to locate this man.

In the police operation that took place yesterday, the authorities were able to arrest four suspects who are members of this gang. The bodies found correspond to Frank Alfaro Murillo, 26-years-old and Costa Rican, and Eduard Bedoya Llanos, a native of Colombia whose body was found decapitated. Frank Alfaro Murillo, had a police record and was the main suspect in the murder of Israeli Michael Chain Caspi, which took place in March 23 this year in the Sabana Sur area.

The four suspects arrested are all Costa Rican with last names Avalos Vega, Alvarado Arroyo, Perez Obando and Campos Mora. According to the police they all had criminal records and are between the ages of 20-25 years of age.

Late Wednesday evening, in two police raids, one in Belen, Heredia and the other one in Guachipelin, Escazu another three men were detained, one of last names Diaz Donis known as Mara, a Colombian of last names Diaz Noreña who was stopped while driving in the Escazu area and a third subject identified with last names Quiros Calero in a house in Guachipelin. In the residence located in Belen, the police found four firearms and blood. Noreña had 6 million colones in cash in his vehicle an Calero had another 3 million colones on him.
