She is a strong, disciplined fighter, she is young and attractive, Costa Rican female IBF World Champion Yokasta Valle, has all the ingredients needed in a recipe for success, all she needs now are the right opportunities to continue making her country proud.

Valle climbed into the ring this Friday, March 31st to face Panamanian Yaditza Pérez, in the Central Park of San José, in an event open to the public who got to see the local girl getting her hand raised after ten rounds.

The Panamanian showed her experience and strength, but “Yoka” was more effective and connected more punches, which earned her a Unanimous Decision win with scores of: 99-91, 100-82 and 100-90.

Yokasta remains undefeated and now accumulates 13 wins. The Costa Rican is the current Light-Mini Flyweight (102 lbs) Female World Champion of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), she won this title in a split decision victory over Mexican Ana Victoria Polo back in December.

The fight against Pérez was in the 105-pound division, since Yoka’s goal is to also get the crown in this second weight category.

In the co-main event, Francisco Fonseca knocked out his opponent, Nicaraguan Eliecer Lanzas in the first few seconds of the third round. Fonseca is the current IBF Inter-Continental Super Featherweight champion and this was a preparation for his next title defense.
