The fifth date of the Costa Rica Touring Car Championship is this Sunday, August 20 as usual at Parque Viva in Alajuela, starting at 9:45 a.m.

This time the race involves four heats of 15 laps each. The fourth date was won by Danny Formal who is only five points away from the general leader José Andrés Montalto. André Solano is on the third place of the general table and Juan Carlos Alvarado takes fourth position.

Pilots have been practicing this week. Juan Carlos Alvarado, the defending champion, managed first place during the practice carried out this Thursday and is hoping to get back in the top positions of the general table this Sunday.

There is only one more date left in the CTCC after this Sunday and therefore the results obtained this Sunday are very important. The number of heats and the short time of each will force drivers to be aggressive but extra careful since the smallest mistake can leave them in a very difficult position.

The Yaris Cup and Super Bikes remain as additional attractions in the event.
