Costa Rican female world boxing champion Hanna Gabriels and her opponent, Canadian Natasha Spence successfully got through the weigh-in ceremony this Friday.

Gabriels hit the mark at 153.56lbs (69.8 kg) while Natasha Spence marked 150.7 lbs (68.5 kg), three pounds under the weight limit of 154 lbs.

The Costa Rican will be defending her WBO/WBA Female World Super Welterweight Titles on Saturday, May 27 at the BN Arena in Hatillo, San José, Costa Rica, the event is starting at 7 p.m. but the main event is scheduled for 9 p.m.

Both fighters met face to face for the first time on Thursday during their final press conference before the fight, both fighters and their teams showed confident Spencer’s manager stated: “Unfortunately, I brought a killer with me, and on Saturday she is going to walk away with the titles, no disrespect to Hanna, I am not trying to come off as cocky, I’ve managed 15 world champions, and Natasha is one of the best fighters I’ve managed so far, we look forward to Saturday night”.

Natasha, commented, “I feel very blessed for this opportunity, on Saturday night it is going to be fireworks, I can guarantee that the public will get their money’s worth, I hope everyone comes out to support the fight, it is going to be a great fight and a great night, I trained hard, I am more than ready”.

The current champion confirmed she is eager to get back in the ring since the last time she fought was almost a year ago “I feel great, the camp was great and I feel very well prepared, and of course we are going to win this Saturday evening, the titles stay here because I am the champion, I train with effort and passion; I am glad that Natasha’s team as well as mine is prepared to give a great show on Saturday”.

Tickets to the fight can be purchase online through Publitickets.com in three different sections: Ringside for Ȼ15,000.00 (around $26.00); VIP Ȼ12,000.00 (close to $21.00) and General Ȼ7,000.00 (close to $12.50).

The fight will be televised live by channel 6 in Costa Rica.
