This Saturday, May 19 at the National Stadium parents will have the possibility of having 20 private schools in one location offering information on their educational offer during the ‘Feria de Colegios” or School Fair.
The event is hosted only on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will include also stands for other companies all related to education and children such as Genius Lab; Tutor Doctor; Space Camp Robotics; Edu Tech; Lecto, among others . Conferences will also be offered such as “Neuroeducation” teaching to learn with emotions” and “Talking about Discipline and Limits”.
“The fair is a place for parents to come in contact with different educational centers in one place, with the objective of informing of their educational offer for kindergarten, elementary school and high school. Parents can chat with representatives of the schools and get to know in detail their methodology, ideology and culture”, explains the press release.
Entrance to the event is free of charge if you register online previously at https://www.feriadecolegios.com/ , otherwise, the day of the event the entrance will cost ¢1,000.
There are close to 500 private educational institutions in Costa Rica, according to the last study carried out by EKA business magazine, out of these there are 180 that offer kinder through high school education.
A survey carried out by Feria de Colegios, established that in average, private schools in Costa Rica charge close to 180 thousand colones (US $318.60) but the most expensive ones can cost as much as 754 thousand colones ($1,334.58) a month.
