Los Angeles, Jan. 4 — Singer Janet Jackson, 50, has given birth to her first child, a boy named Eissa Al Mana, her publicist announced.

“Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their son Eissa Al Mana into the world,” a representative for the singer said in a statement published late Tuesday in People magazine.

“Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably,” he added.

The sister of legendary singer Michael Jackson had said in October that she was expecting her first child with husband, Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana.

The artist married 41-year-old Al Mana in 2012, her third marriage.

In April, the singer announced she was postponing her “Unbreakable” tour as she and her husband were planning a family together.

“My husband and I are planning a family so I’m going to have to delay the tour,” she had said in a video message.

Jackson released her “Unbreakable” album in 2015 after a gap of seven years.

Since beginning her career in the 1980s, Jackson has sold over 140 million albums worldwide with famous songs such as Nasty and Rhythm Nation. EFE
