“I don’t know how I do it. I imagine that, like all women in the world, we’re crazy. It’s a daily challenge to be able to combine the life of a professional woman, that of a mother, to have time for myself and for others. It’s difficult, the task of being a mother is the most difficult in my life,” said Shakira during the presentation of her perfume Dance in Brazil.

In perfect Portuguese, the artist confessed that being with her two sons, Milan and Sasha, means being 100 percent on their mental and emotional level, and that, she said, is always more exhausting than “36 hours straight of work.”

Being a mother is a really nice job, it’s the nicest in the world, but it’s also the most intense,” the singer added.

Shakira said that she had “reconnected” with her work and her relationship to music now is “immediate,” which enables her to release her singles before completing the entire album.

“I’m passionate about the new songs. My relationship with the music changed, it’s more immediate,” she emphasized. EFE
