Walmart inaugurated its tenth store in Costa Rica and the first out of the metropolitan area, located in the city of Liberia, Guanacaste.
With an investment of almost USD $1.5 million the new location opened doors July 15 and generated 118 direct jobs and 380 indirect jobs.
The store offers the same products clients are used to finding in Walmart locations, electronics, clothing, bakery, appliances, etc.
The location will open Sunday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The 5,779 square meter construction makes Walmart the biggest supermarket in Guanacaste. As part of the construction of the new location Walmart made a donation valued in $450,000.00 to the Aqueducts and Sewers Institute destined to make improvements to the Liberia aqueduct, works that will benefit 50% of the population in the area.
