Once again, the Costa Rican Police found a load of cocaine, this time hidden in a truck that was being carried over a platform tow truck stopped during a routine road operation in the area of Jaco in Garabito, Puntarenas.
The police officers stopped the tow truck, at around 1 p.m. and proceed to the visual inspection of the same and the white Hyundai truck carried on it; they noticed the Hyundai had a false floor and packages hidden in the compartment at which point they proceeded to call the Drug Control Police (PCD).
A total of 321 kilos of cocaine were found, the man inside the Hyundai truck of last names Fuertes Hernandez was arrested, and apparently he had a criminal record for robbery, the truck where the drugs were found is registered under the name Errol Antonio Mora González who also has a criminal record for robbery and transporting drugs.
The driver and the owner of the tow truck had no criminal records, and apparently have no relation with the case, however they are also under investigation.
Just last Sunday the Police detained three Mexican men who were carrying 785 kilos of cocaine in their cars, in the area of Guanacaste, also, on November 16 they found another 213 kilos of this drug concealed in a van which they also stopped in a routine road check in the area of Turrucares, Alajuela.
Back in July 13 a man by the last name Camacho and 65 years old, was stopped also in Jaco with 370 kilos hidden in his car.
